About SPIIG

The Special Populations & Issues Interest Group is a Special Interest Group of the Colorado Association of Libraries (CAL). The group explores ways for libraries to better serve diverse and underserved populations. We always welcome additional members, including people from the community and representatives from all types of libraries. Members should represent a special or diverse population, have an interest in library service to special populations, or be actively involved in service to such groups.

MISSION:
The Special Populations & Issues Interest Group addresses the needs of special populations through the training and mentoring of Colorado library staff.

VISION:
Colorado’s libraries are where communities connect around diversity and special populations seek out resources.
